What is the cost of the intramural uniform?
Intramural uniforms in past seasons have included a reversible jersey, a pair of shorts, and socks. That package has sold for $50.00. The equivalent will be offered for the fall 2011, & spring 2012 season at Baymen. Under Armour and Nike base layers will also be available at an additional cost. The Baymen Soccer Shack also will have club hoodies, warm up pants and tops, soccer gloves, and hats.
 

What is the cost of a travel uniform?
Historically, travel uniforms have been taken care of by the team’s coach or manager where ever he or she can find a vendor. Going forward and starting this year with the U10 and younger age groups, travel uniforms must be purchased at the Baymen Soccer Shack. We are trying to create a consistency in the uniforms for the travel teams. There will be two or three great looking options for both boys and girls. The shack pricing will be very aggressive so we will most likely be the best deal around for the quality of product that will be offered. It looks like the options will be both Nike and Under Armour. We are working with a very large vendor extending us great pricing.
 

All other travel teams and age groups that have existing uniforms can continue to use them. We ask though that if you are in need of new travel uniforms to please contact us.
 

What are the uniform colors?
The Baymen Soccer Club jersey colors are Purple, Gold with Black shorts and socks. Since the travel program at Baymen Soccer Club is called “Bayport Travel Soccer”, the travel colors are changing to the Bayport colors of Navy, Gold with Black shorts, and socks. The new uniforms look sharp. The BU10 Tsunami are currently wearing the new colors. There is a picture of their uniforms on their team page.
 

Where and when can uniforms be purchased?
Uniforms can be purchased at the Baymen Soccer Shack. The fall 2011 uniforms will be available just prior to the start of the season. The opening date will be listed on the Baymen Website, and we will also send out an email with the same information. The shack at that time will be fully stocked and have anything you might need for the 2011/2012 season.
 

What are the Soccer Shack hours of operation?
The Shack is open on Sunday’s during the season form 10am thru 3pm. The Soccer Shack also has Saturday hours at the start of each season.

What days and times do the different age groups play?
All intramural games are typically played on Sundays. The times can vary from year to year, based on the number of kids that sign up for a given age group. However, we usually try to keep each age group stay in a particular time slot from year to year.
 

When do we find out what team we are on and when we have practice?
After registration has closed (generally sometime in July), the coaches for each age group will be contacted. The number of coaches needed depends on the number of kids that register. Once we have enough volunteers to coach, the teams are formed. Typically, that happens in mid August. After the teams are formed, the coaches will contact the players and let them know when practices will be. It is up to each individual coach to schedule practices.
 

If I want to volunteer to coach or be an assistant coach, how do I go about that?
On the registration form, there is a field for indicating which volunteer role you are interested in. If further instruction is required, there is a comments section where you can elaborate.
 

Where are the fields and field layouts?
You can visit the website to get all of the information regarding our facility. All games for intramurals are played at the Baymen Soccer Complex. Home games for Travel Teams and Interleague teams are also played at BSC.
 

How much does it cost to register?
BSC Intramurals is $150.00 for the fall & spring season. The club does not have just a fall or spring registration independent of each other. It is done once a year for the entire year. We encourage the kids to play in both the fall and spring. We understand that schedules get busy with other activities, please work out those details with your coach. LIJSL Travel is $175.00 for the fall & spring season.
 

If I’m not sure if my child wants to play travel or intramural what should I do?
Baymen Soccer Club has a very strong intramural program. At the age of U9 your playing options increase. There is both Suffolk Soccer Inter League which is basically a pre travel program, and Long Island Junior Soccer League which is travel. Just register for what you think your preference might be and if we need to adjust it, let us know.
